"Aleatorik 4-22" is born from cut-and-paste paper sketches, infusing chance and unpredictability. The basic form is established by freely selecting colored pieces and cutting them as desired, placing them on the canvas. This work reminds doodling or creating Jogakbo(Korean fabric scrap sewing and attaching random leftover fabric pieces together). There is a common ground in relying on chance. The result of this work may manifest as an image, yet equally vital is the raw creative power unleashed through uninhibited exploration, observed throughout the process.

<알레아토릭4-22>은 종이를 자르고 오려 붙여 만든 에스키스를 바탕으로 그린 것이다. 아무런 계획이나 제약이 없이 색지를 마음 가는대로 선택, 자유롭게 오려 화면에 올리는 것이다. 우연이 작동한다는 점에서 손이 가는대로 하는 낙서나 남는 천을 접붙여 만드는 조각보, 혹은 어떤 결과가 나올지 모르는 데칼코마니와도 비슷하다. 이 작업의 결과물은 그림일 수도 있지만, 마음껏 해 보는 것과 그 과정에서 목격하게 되는 원초적인 창조력 또한 중요한 산물이다.
